Amish Hamburger Steak Bake is a hearty oven-baked dish with seasoned ground beef patties, savory gravy, and tender onions — perfect for family dinners and comfort food lovers.

Ingredients

    • lbs ground beef

    • ½ cup breadcrumbs or rolled oats

    • 1 egg

    • ¼ cup milk

    • ½ finely chopped onion

    • ½ tsp garlic powder

    • ½ tsp salt

    • ¼ tsp black pepper

    • 1 tsp dried parsley

    For the gravy:

    • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

    • ½ cup milk or broth

    • OR: 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp flour, 2 cups beef broth (for homemade)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a bowl, mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, and seasonings.

  • Form 6–8 oval patties and place in the baking dish.

  • Mix gravy ingredients and pour over patties.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15–20 minutes more.

  • Let rest before serving. Spoon gravy over each portion.

Notes

  • Add cheese, mushrooms, or veggies to customize.

  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.
