A bold and creamy pasta dish featuring Cajun-seasoned ground beef, velvety cream cheese Alfredo sauce, and perfectly cooked bowtie pasta. Comforting, spicy, and deeply satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale

12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
1 lb ground beef (85/15 or 90/10)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan
3 tbsp unsalted butter
34 garlic cloves, minced
1½ tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
½ cup diced onion (optional)
½ cup diced bell pepper (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Reserved pasta water (up to ½ cup)
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.

  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks.

  3. Add Cajun seasoning, garlic, and optional onion and bell pepper. Cook for 3–4 more minutes. Remove beef mixture and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté garlic until golden.

  5. Add softened cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Slowly add heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.

  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and more Cajun spice as desired.

  7. Return beef to skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Add pasta water as needed to loosen sauce.

  8. Simmer for 2–3 minutes. Serve hot with garnish of choice.

Notes

Use lean beef for less grease. Adjust spice by modifying Cajun seasoning. Add vegetables or swap protein for variation.
