1 lb ground beef
4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion, diced
2 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, chopped
4 cups beef broth
1½ cups heavy cream or half-and-half
1 cup shredded cheddar (optional)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Brown beef in a skillet. Drain and transfer to crockpot.
Add potatoes, onion, carrots, and celery.
Pour in broth and add seasonings.
Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender.
Stir in cream and cheese (if using) during the last 30 minutes.
Adjust seasoning, garnish, and serve warm.
Use cornstarch slurry to thicken if desired.
