Ground Beef and Potatoes is a hearty skillet meal made with seasoned beef, crispy potatoes, onions, and garlic. It’s a comforting, budget-friendly dish that comes together in one pan.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1 pound ground beef
3 medium potatoes, diced
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  • Dice potatoes into ½-inch cubes.

  • In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain fat and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, heat oil or butter. Add potatoes and cook 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender.

  • Add onion, cook 3–4 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more.

  • Return beef to skillet. Add paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

  • Cook 2–3 more minutes to blend flavors.

  • Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

Use cast iron for best browning.
