Smash Burger Tacos are crispy flour tortillas pressed with seasoned ground beef, cooked until golden, topped with melted cheese and classic burger fixings.
1 pound ground beef 80/20
8 small flour tortillas
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
8 slices American cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup sliced pickles
For Burger Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 tablespoon pickle juice
Press thin layers of ground beef onto one side of each tortilla.
Season beef with salt and pepper.
Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
Place tortilla beef-side down and cook 2 to 3 minutes until browned.
Flip and add cheese on top of beef.
Cook 1 to 2 minutes until tortilla is crisp and cheese melted.
Mix burger sauce ingredients.
Top tacos with lettuce, onion, pickles, and sauce.
Fold and serve immediately.
Use a hot skillet for best crust.
Do not overcrowd the pan.
Serve immediately for maximum crispness.
