A viral twist on two comfort food favorites — these Smash Burger Tacos combine crispy seared beef, melty cheese, and classic burger toppings in a soft tortilla.
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
6 small flour tortillas
6 slices American cheese
Salt and pepper
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup pickles, sliced
1/4 cup diced onion
Optional: tomato, jalapeño, bacon
Burger Sauce:
1/3 cup mayo
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp relish or diced pickles
1 tsp garlic powder
Optional: dash hot sauce
Divide ground beef into 6 balls. Press each into a thin layer on one side of a tortilla.
Heat skillet over medium-high. Place tortilla beef-side down and press gently.
Cook 3–4 minutes until beef is crispy and brown. Flip, add cheese, cook 1–2 more minutes.
Remove from heat. Add lettuce, pickles, onions, and sauce.
Fold and serve immediately.
Use cold beef for easier pressing. Customize toppings and cheese. Best cooked to order.
