Thai Basil Beef Rolls feature savory garlic-chili beef with fresh Thai basil and crisp vegetables wrapped in rice paper or lettuce.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
2 cloves garlic minced
1 small red chili thinly sliced
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
1 carrot julienned
1 small cucumber julienned
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
8 rice paper sheets or lettuce leaves
1 tablespoon neutral oil if needed

Instructions

  • Sauté garlic and chili in a skillet.

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  • Stir in fish sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Simmer briefly.

  • Remove from heat and fold in Thai basil.

  • Soften rice paper in warm water.

  • Fill with beef and vegetables, then roll tightly.

  • Serve immediately with dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

Do not over-soak rice paper. Use fresh Thai basil for authentic flavor.
